GAP Statements Assignment:

This assignment was great. It was a great way to learn a new skill using ways people these days are familiar with such as twitter. The gaipa statements are important for a writer and helped me somewhat improve my writing and trey something new after high school instead of the old undeveloped way of writing papers or essays.

Grant Essay:

This was the first grant essay I wrote. It was good to try it out in case I have to write one in the future. I didn’t do as well on it I definitely have to practice writing more of them or getting help from others. But it was a good assignment that can be very useful later on.

Conference Proposal:

This assignment gave me the opportunity to do research and find a topic that interests me and was able to find good useful information for. I focused on a shadow leader of the Civil Rights movement named Bayard Rustin. He was a man who wasn’t very known and I wanted to share some light on him because I believe people deserve some form of recognition for things they have accomplished. I was able to also use a skill which was a GAP statement to create a question for my essay later on.

Conference Paper:
This paper was also something new for me, I had a word limit and had only a certain amount of research I had to use to fill up my pages. At some point it was somewhat challenging to complete it as I would just not know what to write. But I was able to get past it and now I’ll be able to do that more often as I get assigned other papers for my other classes.
